After being diagnosed with severe osteoporosis of the lumbar spine, bilateral hip osteopenia, and facing warnings about bone fractures I spent months frozen by fear. I was told to medicate immediately, warned that even a hug or a sneeze might break my bones.
But something in me said pause.
So I did.
I started walking in the morning sun.
I learned what to eat to support my bones.
I tossed the fear and picked up resistance bands and ramped up my strength training, safely.
I started writing.
I took back control.
Maybe you’ve just been diagnosed. Maybe you’ve been living with it for years. Either way, bone health changes your daily rhythm, the way you move, think, and even rest.
I’m here to share what’s worked for me: small, real-world steps you can take at home, safe movement ideas, nourishing food, and encouragement when the fear tries to creep back in.
